Frequently asked questions

What about Proof-reading ?

Proof-reading can be time-consuming and tedious - but it is absolutely essential. There is nothing worse that toiling over a proof and still getting your finished printed item with a glaring error.

When we are typesetting or preparing the layout for you, we strive to prepare the most accurate proof possible for you to check. However it is your responsibility to check and approve the final elements as accurate before we print it.

This stage certainly therefore cannot be rushed.

Proof-reading tips:

  • Make sure all text has been thoroughly proofread and spell-checked before submission to us
  • Give a hard copy to someone who has not seen the text before and ask them to check it over for you. A fresh view often helps.
  • Before you give your final files to your printer, make sure you have read them aloud: you will be surprised at the difference it makes!
